MDS 008 – 3 Ways To Lead Your Team Well For A Great Worship Set with Winston Arblaster

This week I am joined by one of my greatest friends, Winston Arblaster, the Worship Director at New Hope Eugene, in Eugene, OR. On top of being the worship director at the church, Winston is also on staff as the chair head of music and worship at my Alma Mater, New Hope Christian College. As a student, Winston was my music theory and guitar teacher, as a co-worker he was my music director, and as a friend, he is someone I highly look up to as a great model for a person who takes extreme responsibility and care for his work and the level of excellence that’s its done with. And for that reason, I asked him to join us on this episode to share his wisdom of how to prepare and lead his team well! Playing and leading worship every week is a by product of the preparation, mindset and heart that goes into crafting Sundays. Join us for this great discussion as we learn more of the why.

MDS 006 – The Advantages & Disadvantages Of A Set-Up/Tear-Down Church with Brooks Rice

This week we are joined by a great friend and mentor of mine, Brooks Rice. Brooks along with his wife Christy, are the lead pastors of Westside Church (Westside Faith Center) in Eugene, OR. Brooks and I worked together on staff at New Life Church in Everett, WA for a couple of years. Brooks did premarital counseling with my wife and I and he was the officiant for our wedding. Needless to say, there’s not very many people on this planet I trust more than Brooks. Which is good for you! Brooks has been pastoring his current church for about 4 years now, and they have been meeting in a school gym, not only for that entire time, but also since the church itself was planted over 14 years ago!  That’s a lot of setting up and tearing down every week! I asked Brooks to share with us some advantages and disadvantages that he has come across in his years of setting up and tearing down his church week in and week out. I cant wait for you all to hear what he has to say!
