MDS 013 – 3 Ways To Develop & Execute Music Ministry Leadership with Scotty Mearig

This week I have the honor of introducing you to one of my favorite people on the planet. My guest this week is Scotty Mearig, the Production Coordinator at Dream Records. Scotty is a phenomenal musician, and one of my personal favorite bass players to play with. Did I mention he can also play the guitar, piano and drums??? NOT FAIR! We played together off and on during college, and I even tried to convince him once to move to the mainland to join a very short lived band. I guess he knew it wasn’t going to last very long. What I really learned to love about Scotty, above his musical ability, is his heart and desire to help raise up new leaders within music ministry. On top of working at Dream Records in his Production Coordinator role, which includes a lot of audio engineering projects, Scotty serves at New Hope Oahu, in Honolulu, HI, with all the music ministry teams. It’s within those teams that he is able to continue to bridge the gap between the church and the world and combine those two realities with the love and passion of music. You will not want to miss what he has to share with us in this latest episode!
